Wildays Every Winter Weekend

Winter is the growing season at The Wild Center. Every Saturday and Sunday throughout the winter season  you'll be able to come in from the cold at The Wild Center.

Saturday programs grow your skills. Learn more about easy ways to reduce your carbon footprint with Composting 101, Heating with Biomass or Windpower in the Adirondacks. Admire some of the wildlife, like Boreal Birds or the Timber Rattlesnake, that make their home in the Adirondacks. Improve your photography skills with leading photographer Carl Heilman or discover what it takes to keep chickens in your own backyard.

Get the family out of the house for Sunday Family Art and Nature. Bring the entire family and join us for a special program with a naturalist – a walk outside, an animal encounter or a story. Then participate in a family art project related to the theme of the day. Themes include Where do animals go in the winter?, Become a Track Detective, and the always popular Otter Birthday Party.
