The Wild Center Climate Week

In conjunction with Climate Week NYC, The Wild Center will host The Wild Center Climate Week from Sunday, September 22 through Saturday, September 28.

Throughout the week, find educational and programming opportunities at The Wild Center, included with your general admission ticket.

Everyday: Design Wind Mills in the Tinkering Studio, All Day
Join us for an engaging drop-in activity focused on wind turbines! Discover how these renewable energy sources work and their role in sustainable power. Participants will have the chance to build and test their own mini wind mills, learning about energy generation and the importance of clean energy solutions. All ages are welcome!

 

Tuesday - Saturday at 1pm: Sustainability Walk

Sustainability is a core value at The Wild Center. Since our inception, we have embraced innovative building techniques and eco-friendly practices. Visitors can explore environmental design firsthand as they are guided through our state-of-the-art LEED Certified building and campus to discover what makes our approach sustainable.

 

Tuesday, September 24 from 1 to 8pm: Educating for Climate Action Summit - NYC

During Climate Week NYC, The Wild Center, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Smithsonian Institution, Yale Program on Climate Change Communication, the Climate Mental Health Network, New York City Department of Education Office of Sustainability, and the National Wildlife Federation invite you to the Educating for Climate Action Summit on Tuesday, September 24 from 1 to 8pm at the National Museum of the American Indian in New York City.
