Make Art for the Equinox

When? Saturday, September 22nd
What time? 11am–2pm

The Wild Center will be hosting a fall inspired cardmaking demonstration with stamp artist Stephanie Peters. At the demonstration, visitors will have the opportunity to stop by and make their own greeting cards using basic printmaking techniques and Explore Your World clear stamp sets designed by Peters.

When? Saturdays and Sundays, Labor Day to Indigenous People's Day, 12pm - 2pm

Catch a glimpse of the local wildlife, explore different marsh habitats, and watch the landscape transform as you wind around the many curves and turns of our oxbow, a unique, natural formation found in rivers around the world.

BONUS Science on Tap: All About Beer

When? Thursday, October 4th
What time? 7–8pm

In this special bonus Science on Tap, Interpretive Program Coordinator Simon Schreier will chat with brewers from Big Tupper Brewing. They’ll talk about everything from beer’s ancient history to the story of how prohibition and fungus conspired to rob New York of its title as the biggest hops producer in America.

Fall Landscapes and Waterfalls photo tour with Carl Heilman

When? Saturday, October 6th
What time? 11am–7pm

Spend a day photographing the west central Adirondacks during the peak of fall color in the area, with Carl Heilman as your guide and instructor.

Cosmos and Cosmo's

When? Saturday, October 6th
What time? 5:30–8:30pm

Take a closer look into the cosmos while enjoying a Cosmopolitan. During this workshop you will create an original watercolor constellation map featuring the night sky on a date of your choosing.

Forest Bathing: Slow Down, Unplug and Immerse Your Senses in Nature

Let us take you on a unique two and half hour eco-trip, and invite you, through a series of brief sensory activities, to open yourself to all the sights, sounds, smells and textures of an Adirondack forest.

The Wild Center Homeschool Day

Spend the day exploring The Wild Center’s exhibits and trails, engaging with hands-on activities and getting up-close with Adirondack wildlife.  We invite all homeschool students to delve into the natural world and awaken curiosity for all things untamed.

Traditional Haudenosaunee Pottery Workshop with artisan Natasha Smoke Santiago
